My cpu gets high it switches off for conservation. I've been having a lot of problems with services doing that, but I wouldn't know which service this is (and I think re-inserting the adapter would turn the service back on) and when I also think it could be a problem with some service turning itself off. If that's what keeps disconnecting it but it could be but to test it I need a way to keep it off.

Whenever I got to my network adapter properties (through device manager) the 'Allow computer to turn off this device to save power' won't stay unticked, I don't know when it resets the tick because it does stay unchecked for a while. I have two suspicions of what could be causing it: I've tried running troubleshooter, I've tried re-downloading the drivers.

The Computer icon with the cross through it when it happens (as if there's not connection whatsoever, it doesn't acknowledge there is a network adapter plugged in.) The only way to fix it is to manually reconnect the network adapter. It can happen 15-20 times a day, so you can see how troublesome this is. It happens seemingly randomly but especially when it is under a heavy load (downloading, gaming etc). Hello, ever since I upgrade to Windows 10 from Windows 7 my network adapter is constantly disconnecting, it is a huge pain and I'm even considering rolling back to Windows 7 (I really don't want to though).
